If your discomfort is repeatable, a bike fit is usually more useful than guessing with parts.

A fit is a good idea when

  • pain shows up in the same place repeatedly
  • you just bought a new bike and the position feels wrong
  • you are considering expensive cockpit or saddle changes
  • you want a faster answer than months of trial and error

You may not need one immediately when

  • the issue came from one unusually long ride
  • the bike is new to you and you have not documented the current setup yet
  • a basic saddle or bar adjustment clearly solves the problem
